DESCRIPTION OF DONORS AND DONATIONS
BONEPWA+ would like to express and
gratefully acknowledge the following donors and friends
of BONEPWA+ who have supported the network since its
inception in the year 2000. Without their assistance,
little if any, would have been achieved. If you would

BOTUSA
BOTUSA was able to support BONEPWA+ with donating office
equipment and furnishings such as boardroom furniture
including 20 chairs, 2 executive desks and 2 chairs,
and also a fridge and 4 filing cabinets.
Department for International Development
The donation of 2 computers and printers and 2 book
cabinets.
Government of Botswana / UNDP
The GoB and the UNDP Partnership here-in-after referred
to as the PSD - for the on-going quarterly programme
funding support. The fund was complimentary to the administrative
and programme activities.
HIVOS
For sponsoring the hiring of a consultant to assist
in setting up the Secretariat.
Norwegian Church Aid
For sponsoring the hiring of a consultant to assist
in the development of BONEPWA+'s five year Strategic
Plan (2001 to 2004).
Parliamentary AIDS Committee
Provided funding to support BONEPWA+'s activities. UNDP On-going
traditional funding to support BONEPWA+'s activities.
UNFPA
For sponsoring a week long workshop to train PLWAs on
basic journalism for BONEPWA+ in preparation for the
production and distribution of a newsletter.
UNICEF
For sponsoring one Executive Board Member to attend
the African Development Forum held in Ethiopia. UNICEF
has also been involved in providing funding to improve
schools with placing 30 PLWAs to disseminate knowledge
in HIV/AIDS Service Information Centers.
WUSC
Through the Small Grants Fund, WUSC was able to fund
the sensitisation seminars for PLWAs across the country
who joined and/or formed Support Groups. A Feasibility
Study was also performed to identify income generation
activities for Support Groups. Funding was also allocated
for a promotional video titled "Nothing For Us
Without Us". A Development Worker from Canada was
placed in the workplace to assist with an organisational
assessment and two IT Interns, also from Canada, have
joined BONEPWA to develop a website, database and day-to-day
technical support for BONEPWA's computerised systems.
